JRs Black Straight Egyptian Breeding Program
Imagine a great black Arabian stallion, floating along the beach, nose to the wind and his tail flagging. This was the image that caught the attention of audiences with the release of The Black Stallion. The purebred black Arabian stallion, brought the charisma of the Arabian horse to people worldwide with his flowing mane and proud head. Arabians have existed for centuries and are the only true purebred in the equine world. They have played a significant role in the history of man and horse, and will continue to provide enjoyment and companionship for years to come through the work of national and global organizations dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the breed. The Straight Egyptian is the purest Arabian and is extremely rare with less than 5% of the Arabian breed being Straight Egyptian and less than 1% being black.
More than just a black Straight Egyptian.
Here at JRs Gentle Hills Farm, we like a great challenge. It was brought to our attention that although there are black Straight Egyptian breeders breeding the black Straight Egyptian, there are not many that are producing a black Straight Egyptian with correct conformation or athletic ability.
We love a challenge and therefore, we will only be producing black Straight Egyptian Arabian horses with correct conformation and athletic ability. This is why we bred Alia Kateefa, the only black Straight Egyptian mare we have found available who has correct conformation, disposition and athletic ability, to TDR White Stone, reining champion, in 2010.
We decided to challenge ourself further. There seems to be NO black Straight Egyptian who are race horses. Therefore, it is this farms goal to produce such a horse.
JRs Gentle Hills Farm offers the very best. All breeding stock have been hand-selected for their outstanding breeding, conformation, athletic ability and trainable dispositions. All of JRs prospect weanlings and yearlings are born and raised on our farm in Strafford, Missouri.
