OUR FARM

We are located in the sloping hills of the Ozarks, just 10 miles north of Springfield, Missouri.  We are a small breeding facility as we focus on quality and not quantity. Our farms encourages and welcomes visitors to experience and share our dream.  If we do not have what you are looking for, we are sure we can help you find it.  

OUR PHILOSOPHY 

Although JRs Gentle Hills Farm is a small and not well-known entity, we strive to produce typey performance Arabians - with emphasis on Black Straight Egyptian Arabians and Working Cow Arabians.  One knows that in order to perform such a task, you must consult with experts who have been doing for years what you want to do.  That is why JRs Gentle Hills Farm looked to great breeders such as Tom Chauncey, Gainey Arabians and Kent Arabians.  

JRs Gentle Hills Farm is honored and proud to carry on the rich heritage of great stallions such as *Naborr, *Morafic, Ferzon, Ansata Imperial, Shaihk Al Badi, and other great athletic Arabians.  We strive to exceed industry expectations and to be vital contribution to our breed, which is why we are very active in the horse community as well as keeping a position on the board of the Southwest Missouri Arabian Horse Club.

OUR HORSES

Our horses are a selected few who must possess type, a gentle soul, willingness and intelligence as well as loyalty.  We will not keep (nor breed) a mean horse.  Producing only a few foals a year allows us to work with each foal on a daily basis.  The result of this attention produces the true desert horse.  ***We use the training methods of Downunder Horsemanship.***
